Located at the banks of the river Seine in Paris, the Quai Branly Museum presents around 3,500 objects of the museum’s enormous collection, which includes over 450,000 items. The permanent collection, of this beautiful and fascinating museum that opened in 2006, features works of art and cultural artefacts from Oceania, the Americas, Africa and Asia.
In response to the Musée du Quai Branly’s request for demountable showcases, Meyvaert manufactured, delivered and installed 80 of our standard Infinity display cases. Infinity cases are tall freestanding showcases (2200 x 900 x 900), which are modular and fully demountable. The system was created to present the following characteristics:
The Infinity cases form the permanent collection of display cases in one of the museum’s exhibition galleries. The cases are destined to exhibit works of art and objects of various typologies: provenance, materials, dimensions, etc. The advantage of the Infinity is that the museum can now change the layout and configuration of their showcases themselves, and fit in a variety of different sized artefacts from their large collection.

From the execution phase to the construction phase, the Meyvaert team met all our expectations. I would particularly like to highlight the quality of the installations, both from a technical and aesthetic point of view: the care given to the choice of materials, the precision of the implementation and the elegance of the finishes.
