As a System Engineer at Haerens Group, you will be responsible for the design, management, maintenance and documentation of various IT systems and infrastructure components.

Responsibilities

You will contribute to the support and improvement of the organisation's IT environment with the following responsibilities:

  • The design, management and maintenance of:

Network Infrastructure and Security: Design, management and maintenance of LAN, WLAN and WAN, as well as the implementation of security measures.
- Server/Storage Hardware and Middleware: Management of server and storage hardware, including server and application virtualisation.
- Cloud Solutions: Creating connections between existing infrastructure and cloud solutions, with a focus on Microsoft Azure.
- VOIP Solutions: Maintenance and management of VOIP telephony systems.
- Multifunctional Printer/Scanner Infrastructure: Managing multifunctional printing and scanning equipment.
- Backup and Replication Infrastructure: Maintain backup and replication systems, including performing sanity checks on backups made
- Client Infrastructure: Manage desktops, workstations, laptops, tablets and other end-user devices.

  • Hardware Asset Management (HAM): Management of hardware assets, including inventory and lifecycle management.
  • Manage Microsoft 365 Services: Maintain and manage Microsoft 365 services, focusing on the Cloud, Active Directory, user rights and other relevant aspects.
  • 1st Line Support / Helpdesk: Function as the first point of contact for technical support within assigned domains, handling support tickets. Second-line support is provided by a partner.
  • Partnerships: Maintain and expand collaborations with trusted external suppliers, both locally and internationally, to facilitate physical support in other countries.

Profile:

Professional profile and background:

  • Technical skills: You have solid technical knowledge to successfully carry out the above responsibilities.
  • Professional background: relevant knowledge of systems engineering acquired through training and/or previous work experience.
  • Language skills: Excellent command of Dutch, English and French (future-proof).
